STEP 1 : Sift the matcha


Add 1–2 grams (about 1–2 chashaku scoops) of matcha into a bowl.

Sift it through a fine sieve to remove any clumps and create a smooth texture.

Step 2 : Add hot water

Pour about 60–80 ml of hot water (around 60-70 degrees, not boiling) over the matcha.

Step 3 : Whisk

Using a bamboo whisk (chasen), whisk in quick zig-zag motions (like an “M” or “W”).

Whisk until a fine foam forms on the surface.

Optional : Matcha latte

Add warm or cold milk of your choice for a softer, creamier taste.

Step 4 : Enjoy

Take a moment.
Drink slowly.
Let it ground you.
